Introduction to Quizzes in Kajabi
Welcome to Kajabi in 5 Minutes. I'm your host, JD, and today we're talking about quizzes in Kajabi. Quizzes are a type of lesson you can add to a course product. This feature was introduced in 2024 and offers several question types and functionalities.
Quiz Features and Question Types
Quizzes in Kajabi offer four types of questions:
- Multiple choice
- Checkboxes
- Short answer
- File upload
The file upload option is particularly noteworthy as it's not available elsewhere in Kajabi. You can choose whether questions are auto-graded and set passing grades for the quiz. Notifications can be set up to alert you when a student completes a quiz, with a link to their results.
Creating and Accessing Quizzes
To create a quiz:
- Go to your course module
- Click "Add Content"
- Choose "Quiz" instead of "Lesson"
To view quiz submissions:
- Navigate to Courses
- Select your course
- Go to the specific module and quiz
- Click on "Results" to see all submissions
Quiz Integration with Course Structure
Quizzes can be integrated into your course structure using features like "Lock," which requires quiz completion before students can progress to the next section.
Assessments: An Alternative to Quizzes
Kajabi also offers an older feature called Assessments, found under Contacts > Assessments. While less integrated and customizable than quizzes, assessments have some unique advantages:
- Can be used as a standalone tool
- Don't require a course login
- Don't count towards product quotas
Assessments offer similar question types but lack some design flexibility. They can be useful for surveys or collecting feedback outside of a course structure.
Conclusion
Both quizzes and assessments provide valuable tools for collecting feedback and evaluating student progress within the Kajabi platform, each with its own strengths and use cases. Quizzes offer a more integrated and customizable solution for course creators, allowing for seamless incorporation into the learning experience. Assessments, while less flexible in design, provide a standalone option that can be useful for gathering information outside of a course structure. By understanding and utilizing both features, Kajabi users can create more engaging and interactive content, enhance their ability to track student progress, and gather important feedback to improve their offerings.
