Introduction

Hello and welcome back to another episode of Kajabi in Five Minutes. Today, we are going to discuss what you need to do when using Kajabi for courses while your website is hosted elsewhere, like WordPress or Squarespace, or if you don't have a website at all. Many people are drawn to Kajabi for its excellent course and program capabilities. This episode will guide you on how to use Kajabi for courses without using it for your website.

Setting Up Website Pages in Kajabi

First, you need to know that there are some website pages you must use in Kajabi along with your course. These pages aren't automatically there, so you need to go into Websites and then Design to choose a website template. This step is crucial because you won't get any website pages unless you have a template. I recommend using the standard or basic Kajabi template, called the Streamline template. It doesn't look as fancy as other templates but is easier to customize without changing many settings.

Choosing and Customizing a Template

In the website design area, you get a lot of customization options. Using the Streamline template means there will be less to delete, making it easier to mold to your needs. All you have to do is pick a template or theme and set it to be live. If your site is outside of Kajabi, there's no point in exploring other themes, so just choose the Streamline template and set it live.

Important Pages in Kajabi

Setting the template live will give you three essential pages: the library page, the login page, and the thank you page. The library page is the most important as it lists all the products your customers buy from you. By default, customers log into this page when they come to your domain. The library page is where you would link from your site or social media.

Integrating Kajabi with Your Website

If you have a website on WordPress, you might have a user menu at the top, commonly in the far right corner, labeled as "Login" or "Courses." This is where you put the link to the library page in Kajabi so people can access your courses. On your library page, include your website menu so that visitors can navigate back to your website if they want to.

Building Courses and Setting Up Payments

In Kajabi, you build your courses by going into Products. You can then create your checkout pages in Sales and Offers. Finally, set up your payment processing in Settings and Payment Integrations for Kajabi Payments, Stripe, or PayPal.

Conclusion

And that's how you integrate Kajabi with your external website and set up your courses and payment processing.
