Alright, here we are for the rest of the last episode. I ran out of time last time, so today, I'm going to talk about the bulk coupon option and the secret coupon. That's right, the secret coupon. In case you didn't catch the last episode, stop listening and go listen to it. It's only five minutes long and will lead into this one quite well.

Bulk Coupon Codes

The bulk coupon code is pretty unique. It's different from the single coupon. The bulk coupon has the same features—you get to choose an amount or a percent off, and you get to name the coupon so that when you go into your coupons list, you can see what it's called. However, you don't actually get to choose the codes. Kajabi generates unique codes that can only be used one time.

This means people can't share the code or use the same code more than once, giving you more control over how these are used. However, with more control comes more work because you have to distribute each of the codes. For example, if you create 100 coupon codes, you have to distribute those as you see fit. Kajabi also lets you see which codes have been redeemed and export this information into a CSV file.

Secret Coupon

The secret coupon is pretty neat. I call it a secret coupon because it's not listed in the coupons area. To get this coupon, you have to use an automation. It's more of a secret way to use coupons than a secret coupon itself. You make a single coupon, set it up, and attach it to an offer, but you don't share it with anyone.

You go into Marketing, then Automations, and add a new automation. First, you pick a trigger, then the action. If you're doing this in a place that already has a trigger, like a form or a checkout page, you move on to the action. You choose to send a single-use coupon, which is near the bottom of the list. You then pick the coupon you've made, and the automation creates a unique, one-time-use code for that coupon and sends it to the user.

This is great for lead magnets. At the last email of your sequence, you can set up an automation to send a single-use coupon, giving a discount that can only be used once. If shared, the recipient gets to use it, not the original person.
