Hello, and welcome back to Kajabi in 5 Minutes! Today, I'm going to be talking a little bit about coupons. Kajabi gives you two options for couponsā€”three, really, but one of them is kind of hidden. This episode is perfect if you've ever wanted to use a coupon before. I'm sure you'll find something helpful here.
Single Use Coupons
First of all, if you go into Sales, you'll see Coupons in Kajabi. When you create a coupon, it'll ask if you want a single-use or a bulk coupon. These are very different. The secret way is by going into Automations and setting up an automation that will send a single-use coupon. The single-use coupon through automations is pretty cool.
Let's get into how these work. First, the easy kind: going into Sales, then Coupons. A single-use coupon is your run-of-the-mill coupon. It's a code that you get to choose, and everyone with that code can use it according to how you set it up.
Coupon Options
You can choose if you want it to be a percent off or a dollar value off. You can also choose if you want it to be used once or multiple times. For example, if you're giving a coupon for a three-month program with both a three-month payment option and a lump sum payment option, you can create two coupons: one for the lump sum payment and another for the monthly payments.
You can also choose when coupons expire. If you're doing a promotion for a week, you set your coupon to expire on the day you want. By default, it will expire at 11:59 PM on that day. You don't have to worry about taking your coupon off; it will end automatically.
Mechanics of Single Use Coupons
The single-use coupon can be used by anyone. It's not specific to one person and can be used more than once by the same person. People can share it, type it in, and use it. With all coupons, you first create the coupon and then choose which offers you want it to be applied to. You can choose one offer or many offers. The coupon code can be entered on the checkout page of that offer.
Discount Links
When you make a coupon applicable to an offer, a discount link shows up. This link is specific to that checkout page and already has the coupon applied. If you don't want people to type in the coupon, you can give them a link with the coupon already applied, which is pretty cool.
