Introduction
Hello, and welcome to today's episode of Kajabi in 5 Minutes. This episode is about lead magnets and how to set them up. Lead magnets are great for building your email list in Kajabi, and everyone needs to do that. Let's figure out how.
Components of Lead Magnets
There are a few different components within Kajabi that work together to give you the ability to collect emails and start building relationships with potential new clients. These components are:
- Landing Pages
- Forms
- Automations
- Emails
All of these components need to be connected for your lead magnet to start working.
Setting Up Landing Pages
When you're in Kajabi, start by going into Websites > Landing Pages > New Landing Pages. You can either start from scratch or use one of the templates. Kajabi has some really good templates for opt-in pages, ranging from simple ones to more in-depth ones that require a couple of scrolls of the page. Whichever one you choose, start with your landing page. The landing page is where you talk about what you want to give people and where you instruct them to fill out and submit their information in the form.
Creating Forms
The form is created separately in Kajabi. Go into Marketing > Forms and create a new form. This is where you set up the form. The form isn't built on the landing page; it's placed there. In the forms area, you have options for double opt-in or single opt-in. You can also choose to be notified when someone fills out the form. The default fields are name and email. Name will collect the first and last name, and it's coded in Kajabi to store these separately. Don't add another field for the last name; just leave the name field as it is. You can add additional fields if needed.
Automations
At the bottom of the forms area, you have automations. This is where you add tags to know what someone's done and where you connect to an email sequence or send an email. Once your form is built and saved, go back to your landing pages and add your form to the page. Now, people can go to the landing page, fill out the form, and hit submit. The automations will happen, and the email you've written will be sent, or the email sequence will be subscribed to.
Email Sequences
If you are doing an email sequence, go into Marketing > Email Campaigns > New Email Campaign > Email Sequence. Build your email sequence there, and connect it with the subscribed trigger to the form. This completes the full circle of the lead magnet: landing page, form, automations, and emails.
Conclusion
Go get it and have some fun!
