Introduction

Hello, and welcome to episode two. In this episode, I'm going to talk about the Kajabi podcast product. Since I'm hosting this podcast on Kajabi, I thought it would be a great topic to discuss. Should you use the podcast product in Kajabi? I've got a definite yes and a maybe no. Well, probably a definite no. So, it's good to know.

Private Podcasts

First of all, Kajabi podcasts are really great if you are doing a private podcast, and that's where my definite yes is. A private podcast is a podcast that people need to buy something from you to get access to. There doesn't have to be money attached, but they definitely have to create a login and username to get access to the private podcast. Kajabi manages this very well, which is why I give them a definite yes for that.

The private podcast is also very useful if you are delivering a course or are in a membership with ongoing content through a subscription. You want to deliver your content through a podcast and not just through the app, videos, or their laptop or desktop. Some people really love podcasts, and that makes it a lot easier, especially on the go.

The way you do it is through your offers in Kajabi, and the product you connect that offer to is a podcast. When people complete the offer, they get access to the podcast. It's super simple for them to set up. They get an email from Kajabi with a unique link and a special code. They take that link to their podcast platform, like Apple, and add the show by URL. All the episodes you publish get added to their library.

If you have an end date for this offer or if it's a subscription and they stop paying, Kajabi cuts off their access once that ends or once they cancel the subscription. They lose access to future episodes of the podcast as well. This works great.

Setting Up and Managing Podcasts

It's also really easy to set up in Kajabi. The product is easy to continue adding podcast episodes to. When you create a podcast in Kajabi, it automatically makes a podcast page for all the content. You can add that page to your website. It's very restricted but also very functional and clean, so you don't have to worry about that.

All in all, I give it a 10 out of 10 for using private podcasts with Kajabi. It's super easy, works great, and doesn't add much to your workflow if you're already putting video content into a course product.

Public Podcasts

Now, the no is if you're going to do a public podcast. The only reason I'm saying no to this is because there's just no point. It uses up one of your products in Kajabi, and you can get a lot more tools, versatility, cool features, and analytics by using a third-party platform. I would recommend Spotify. They seem to be really good.

Yes, you can put your regular podcast in Kajabi, but there doesn't seem to be a reason to. You get so much more, and it's also free by using Spotify. So, while it's not bad, it's just not the best.

Conclusion

That's my two cents about the Kajabi podcast product. See you next time!
